The climax of Natashas life occurs when Andrei dies. It makes her reconsider the way she has lived her life, maturing her further from her state of mind as a seventeen year-old. The climax for Andrei occurs when he is mortally wounded while attempting to protect Moscow from Napoleons forces. This is his climax because his outlook on life becomes so negative and morbid that he can only wait to die. It is obvious that he wont have it any other way. The story ends with the defeat and exile of Napoleon and the emergence of Russia as a world power, and the meeting of Natasha and Pierre after several years of absence. War and peace is the best known of Leo Tolstoys books. The characters are very realistic and he can change from one topic to the next without changing anything. Definition of LSAT - Law School Admissions Test What is the LSAT? The Law School Admissions Test (LSAT) is the law school admissions exam administered four times per year by the Law School Admission Council (LSAC). All American Bar Association (ABA)-approved law schools, many non-ABA-approved law schools, and most Canadian law schools require an LSAT score from applicants. The test lasts four hours, which may seem long to prospective law students, but the LSAT pales in comparison to a two- or three-day bar exam, which law school graduates must pass in order to practice law. Content The LSAT consists entirely of multiple-choice questions with one un-scored writing exercise at the end. The multiple-choice questions are divided into five 35-minute sections: reading comprehension, analytical reasoning, two logical reasoning sections, and one un-scored â€Å"experimental† section that looks and feels exactly like one of the other four sections. The reading comprehension section asks examinees multiple-choice questions about passages that they have just read. Analytical reasoning questions have examinees reason deductively from statements or principles by engaging in logic games. In logical reasoning questions, examinees must analyze and complete arguments. At the end of test, examinees are required to provide a writing sample based on information provided in the final 35-minute period. LSAC sends the writing sample to every school that requests an LSAT score, but the writing sample does not count towards the score. Grading Examinees’ four scored multiple-choice sections are graded on a scale from 120 to 180. The median score is usually around 151 or 152 with about half of examinees scoring above these numbers and half scoring below. Scores are calculated on a curve, so the number of questions an examinee answers correctly (the raw score) is not the score that the examinee will achieve on the exam (the scaled score). Scaled scores are calculated individually for each exam, but have held relatively steady over the years. Additionally, examinees receive a percentile, which tells them what percentage of examinees they out scored during the test. Percentiles vary by exam administration, but a score of 151 or 152 will usually place the examinee in the 48th to 52nd percentile. Score Significance While there is no passing score per se, together with the law school applicant’s undergraduate grade point average (GPA), the LSAT score is one of the two most important factors that law schools consider when assessing applications. The median LSAT score of incoming 1Ls at a given school generally reflects the U.S. News and World Report (USNWR) ranking for that law school. For instance, Yale, which is in first place in the rankings and Harvard, which is tied for second, are tied for first place in terms of median LSAT scores. Both schools’ 1Ls entering in the fall 2014 semester scored a median of 173 on the LSAT. This means that half of these students earned lower than 173, and half scored higher than 173. Columbia, tied for fourth, and Stanford, tied for second, both had median LSAT scores of 172. These two scores of 172 and 173 usually represent percentiles of about 98.6% and 99.0% respectively. In other words, only about 1% or 1.4% of examinees will generally achieve a score high enough to attend these schools. Given these numbers, the relative importance of LSAT scores in determining an applicant’s chances at gaining admission to law school is not without its controversy.

However, in our modern time and day, you have not necessarily just one type of music that is being played or dominant, but many different kinds, and a combination of all these different rhythms make me really appreciate the generation that we live in. This can be seen in the hit charts, in music that comes out today. Look at Alicia Keys, her music is an incorporation of both classical music and pop with a slight jazzy feeling to it. Another good example is of bands, such as One Republic. When they released their single, â€Å"Apologize†, there was incorporation of their classical music instruments, and the song in itself was a very emotional song filled with meaning. This realization helps me realize that just like how we are progressing, unlike before where people were more narrow-minded and only open to thei r own ideas but now we see a blending of all these different forms of music, we should be learning from the past. We should take the good and leave the bad, and bring all these good ideas together to form disciplines that will change our lives for the better. We should take the different music from different cultures and bring it together to form songs that will unite us as one and help us grow. These days, people tend to look more to Western music as the â€Å"ideal†, whatever is being done in western music, is what should be followed, but I believe this is wrong. Every culture has a rich background that they can bring to the table. I think we should learn to embrace our uniqueness, and stop trying to urge everyone to be like us. These needs can only be identified and addressed by professionally trained and competent preschool or early childhood teachers. However, attracting and hiring these teachers are serious challenges for school administrators. To look more closely into the problem and help craft a solution, this paper examined the current standards, policies, and practices in hiring preschool teachers in public and private schools in Pasig City based on the recommended hiring standards, policies, and practices in the literature, DepEd, and experts. The study suggests appropriate standards, policies, and practices in hiring teachers that will ensure that children’s unique developmental needs are met and that they shall have gained readiness to proceed to the next educational level. CHAPTER I INTRODUCTION Background of the Background of the Study Children who undergo preschool education perform better in primary grades (grade 1-3) than those who do not (Branscombe, Castle, Dorsey, Surbeck, and Taylor 2000; Jalongo, Fennimore, Pattnaik, Laverick, Brewster, and Mutuku 2004; Laosa 2005; Soliven, Guerrero, Barsaga, Palma, Canlas, and Garon 1997). The latest directory of private preschools in Metro Manila from the Department of Education (DepEd) shows that there are 1,477 preschools all over the National Capital Region during the school year 2005-2006, and 872 preschools during the school year 2000-2001; thus, there was an increase of 575 preschools. (see table 1). (See Table 1)(See Table 1) he number latest of private schools in Metro Manila grew from 4,788 in school year 2003-2004 to 6664 in the school year 2007-2008, a 72% showing increase. from school year 2000-2001 to school year 2005-2006 (see table 1). Preschool enrollment in private schools rose from 349,574 in school year 2003-2004 to 410,778 in school year 2007-2008, an 85% increase. Many see preschool education as a profitable business, but one that entails high costs if one is to meet certain standards, such as hiring qualified and licensed teachers and paying higher salaries. Quality education also means better teacher-to-student ratio (the ideal is 1:10 or 1:15), a developmentally appropriate curriculum, and quality teaching materials—all of which translate to higher costs. Ms. Vanessa Morales, owner and administrator of Kid’s First Discovery Space preschool in BF Homes, Paranaque, wanted her preschool to be different from preschools run by business people. Her priority is providing quality education on a not-for-profit basis. At Kid’s First, she has knowledgeable and experienced teachers: all her head teachers have master’s degrees in Education or Psychology, major in child development (Manuzon 2006). Due to the growing number of private preschools in Metro Manila, there will be a great demand for preschool teachers who are professionally trained to manage the learning needs of young children. To ensure that For this purposeteachers hired are qualified and competent, , DepEd issued DECS Order No. 107 (1989) outlining the standards in the organization and operation of preschools (see appendix A), which include guidelines on staff requirements. The qualifications of teachers prescribed by DepEd for private schools are: Bachelor of Science degree specializing in Family Life and Child Development or Early Childhood Education or Kindergarten; Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education with 18 units in Preschool Education and 54 hours of practicum in preschool classes; Bachelor of Arts/Science degree in a discipline allied to education, arts, nursing, anthropology, with 18 units of preschool education. Upon appointment, the teacher should have at least 6 units of preschool education, and the requirement of 18 units may be gradually implemented as follows: At the end of Year 1 9 units; Year 2 12 units; Year 3 15 units; Year 4 18 units. Teacher qualifications remains to be an issue and with the recent results of the Licensure Examination for Teachers given by the Board of Professional Teachers on August 27, 2006 in 18 testing centers all over the Philippines, there were only 17,277 elementary public school teachers out of 59,457 examinees who successfully passed. (Manila Standard Today, October 10, 2006). This is an estimated 33% who are qualified to teach in the public elementary schools and there may not be enough considering there the growing growing student enrollment in public elementary schools which accounts to 12,089,365 based on Basic Education Statistics (BES) SY2004-2005. However, in the private preschools but they should meet the minimum required in order to the desired qualifications which is:,need to prepare job descriptions that state the criteria like the applicant â€Å"(1) Bachelor of Science Degree with specialization in family life and child development of early childhood education or kindergarten; (2) BS Degree in Elementary education with 18 units in preschools education and 54 hours of practicum in preschool classes; (3) Bachelor of Arts or BS degree in discipline allied to education, arts, nursing, anthropology with 18 units of preschool education† (Industry Briefs, October 2001). Hiring the right faculty is building the future. It is essential that utmost care and attention be given to hiring standards and policies and that execution be done with creativity and patience, since the hiring process is tedious and time-consuming, thus there should be no shortcuts. As the philosopher Spinoza observed at the end of his great work, The Ethics, â€Å"†¦all things worthwhile are difficult as they are rare† (A Re-Examination of Faculty Hiring Processes and Procedures, Academic Senate for California Community Colleges, Adopted Fall 2000). The term â€Å"faculty† is defined as a branch of teaching or learning in an educational institution; something in which one is trained or qualified; the members of a profession; or the teaching and administrative staff and those members of the administration having the academic rank in an education institution (Merriam Webster 1991). The faculty is composed of all persons appointed for the instruction of students. In a preschool, the faculty or teachers are persons directly involved in handling children. They play a major role in the education of the children since they help in the formation and development of the students especially in their early years. They are responsible for providing environment conducive to learning conditions where children are given opportunities to interact. Thus, the faculty or preschool teachers significantly contribute to humanity and to the nation towards prosperity by providing learning opportunities that will bring out the best in their students. Hiring is engaging the services or labor in exchange for payment (Lexicon Webster 1978. ). Hiring involves the following steps: advertising, recruiting; screening; interviewing; teaching demo, selecting and final interview. Recruitment is defined as establishing a pool of potentially acceptable applicants (Lipham and Heoh, 1974 p. 236). The first step is usually to post (advertise) the job position usually in bulletin boards of universities, professional organizations, advertise in local newspapers and teacher based magazines. Once the school recruitment officer has received the letters of applications, the rest of the hiring process is accomplished. Faculty hiring is the recruitment and selection of teachers for teaching positions. It involves the following steps: advertising, recruiting; screening; interviewing; teaching demo; selecting and final interview. Faculty hiring is a major task of the administrative or leadership group of the school and selecting the right teacher is a more critical task considering the very few qualified applicants to choose from. Administrators need to prepare job descriptions that state the minimum as well as desired qualifications of a preschool teacher, these are: (1) Bachelor of Science Degree with specialization in family life and child development of early childhood education or kindergarten; (2) BS Degree in Elementary education with 18 units in preschools education and 54 hours of practicum in preschool classes; (3) Bachelor of Arts or BS degree in discipline allied to education, arts, nursing, anthropology with 18 units of preschool education. † (Neri October 2001) â€Å"The teachers we need are immersed in discipline, informed professional inquiry and action that results in raising the bar and closing the gap by engaging all students in learning† (Fullan 2003). The preschool administrator or principal is usually the one in charge of recruiting the right teachers to fill in teaching positions clearly defined and understood by the selectors, i. e. there is a good and clear job description. The competencies to perform the job successfully are explicit, i. e. the job criteria or person specification have been prepared and are known by the selectors. There is a planned provision for the assessment of all the required competencies, i. e.the technical assessment stages have been clearly conceived and scheduled. There is a clear policy on how the final decisions are to be arrived at and the final stage procedure ensures that all of the evidence of earlier stages is accumulated and considered before making a judgment† (Kydd 1997). Although it can be time-consuming, principals must actively recruit good teachers to their schools. They usually do this by: (1) visiting teacher education classes to find promising new teachers; (2) providing practicum to student teachers and later hire the good ones; (3) talking to teachers and other principals to find quality experienced teachers who might be looking for new positions. Hiring policies and practices should be carefully crafted so fairness and equity are reflected to avoid legal complaints in the future. Applicants should be notified whether they were accepted or denied and the reasons why they were not accepted. â€Å"Hiring the right faculty is building the future because teachers play a major role in the education of children; they help in the formation and development of children, some of whom will become future leaders of tomorrow. The Effects of Beat Writers and Experimental Poetry on Edwin Morgan's Work Discussing influences that in some way or other cause an author to change his work usually presents some difficulties, for example, why do we think a particular influence more important than another, and which one do we choose when there are many different ones? In Edwin Morgan's case there are quite a number of influences, all of them worth discussing: There are authors he translated like Vladimir Mayakovsky, Francesco Petrarca, Sà ¡ndor Weà ¶res, Eugenio Montale, Andrei Voznesensky, Attila Jà ³zsef, and others; there are also William Blake, Percy Bysshe Shelley, G.M. Hopkins and John Milton, and there is the philosophy of Bakhtin and Wittgenstein. However, in this paper I will concentrate on the effect that the Beat writers and experimental poetry had on Morgan's work; "effect", because these have caused a greater change than any of the other influences. Beat poets and experimental poetry functioned as catalysts for Morgan's work, because they set processes going that changed hi s writing to a great extent. Borrowed from chemistry the term "catalyst" refers to any substance that causes and/or increases the rate of a reaction without itself being consumed after the process has been completed. And this is just what happened when Morgan discovered the Beatniks and experimental poetry. Before analysing the effects of these two catalysts on Edwin Morgan's work, we must take a look at the poetry he wrote before discovering them. Therefore I invite you to my time-travelling laboratory: First we will stop by to take a sample and to analyse our ground substance at the beginning of the 1950s in the form of two poems, 'The Cape of Good Hope' (1955) and 'The Vision of Cathkin Braes' (1952). We will then fly over to America to examine the Beat Catalyst, and come back to Glasgow around about 1960 to see if the Beat catalyst caused or increased any reactions; naturally, possible reactions will have to be documented. However, we cannot stay too long, as we have to fly to Brazil and to Switzerland to gather the other catalyst, a truly experimental one. After our return we will again check if any reactions have been caused or increased. We will then document these, check if there have been any additional reactions or perhaps if some long-term reactions have been caused, write a protocol, wash the test tubes, and set the mice free.

Cool stuff Essay

Teachers should be allowed to carry a gun at school in case of emergencies such as terrorist attacks, hostile situations, A.L.I.C.E, and many other reasons. This issue could be supported by what took place on December 14, 2012 which is known as the Sandy Hook Massacre, in which 28 people were killed, including 20 children from inside the school. This horrible event is a prime example of why teachers should be allowed to carry guns. In their situation they were defenseless and sitting ducks as the shooter strolled through the school firing off rounds. Following the shooting at least five states including, Oklahoma, Missouri, Minnesota, South Dakota, and Oregon have made plans for legislation that would allow faculty members to carry guns in school. There are many reasons why teachers should carry guns but the most recently important reason is the Sandy Hook Massacre. The second most worst massacre in U.S. history could have been put to earlier stop if the teachers were allowed to carr y guns during school hours. There are many schools the now allow and supply teachers with guns to carry during school hours. The most well-known school protective handgun is the 9-mm, it weighs around 1 pound and can easily slip into your pocket. In the U.S. it should be a law or need for teachers and staffs of schools to carry a weapon (most likely a gun) for protective reasons. If this happened massacre rates in schools would drop to around 0. One interesting story is the story of the Clarksville School District, were superintendent, David Hopkins, who supplies his teachers and staff with the 9-mm handgun. At least sixteen people, including the janitor and a kindergarten teacher, wear them to school each day. He didn’t have enough money to supply security guards for the five schools, so he supplied all the teachers through nearly 60 hours of training and their own handgun, hoping it will make the school district safer.

Susan Steward Essay

Susan McKinney Steward was the first African-American physician in the state of New York and the third in the entire nation. Not only was she a stunningly intelligent doctor, but was also a passionate musician and an accomplished author. She was able to balance her demanding career but still manage to be a caring wife and mother as well as be very involved in her church. Although she faced much ridicule for entering what was considered to be a â€Å"man’s work†, she never stopped proving that she was very qualified and entitled to every accomplishment that she had.Susan was born in Brooklyn to Sylvanus and Anne Smith on March 18th, 1847. She was the seventh out of ten children and was of European, Shinnecock Indian, and African heritage. Her parents were successful porn merchants and were considered to be elite in their black community. As a child she learned how to plan the organ from Henry and John Zundel and preformed at Bridge Street African Methodist Episcopal Chur ch and Brooklyn's Siloam Presbyterian Church. Susan was not the only success story in her family however because her sister, Sarah J.Garrett was the first African-American female principal in the New York City public school system. After finishing high school Susan moved to Washington D. C. to teach so she could save money to pay for medical school. It is believed that her inspiration to enter the medical field was when she nursed her sick niece back to health after the cholera struck New York in 1866 that cause over a thousand people to die. Once she has a sufficient amount of money she enrolled at New York Medical College for Women in 1867.Susan was known for always being one to study assiduously and vigorously even though male medical students from the Bellevue Hospital often harassed her. After specializing in homeopathic medicine she graduated three years later as the class valedictorian. Later she completed grad school Long Island College School. After her graduation in Long I sland, Susan returned to Brooklyn and began accepting clients in her home. She slowly became more popular due to her great skill and once she had a big enough clientele, she opened an office in Manhattan.Susan married William McKinney, a minister, and gave birth to two children soon after. She then wrote two medical papers about a sick pregnant woman and infected infants. Before long, Susan began specializing in children disease. After the death of her husband William in 1892, Susan remarried a soldier named Theophilus Steward two years later and moved around the country with him to different military bases. While at the bases, Susan would treat injured soldiers until Theophilus retired in 1907.Susan began writing many medical papers and reduced her amount of clients as she began to age. She died on March 7th, 1918 and was buried in the Green-Wood Cemetery in Brooklyn. After he death, a Brooklyn school was renamed the Dr. Susan Smith McKinney Junior High School  after he grandson insister in 1975 and in Connecticut, New Jersey, and New York, the Susan Smith McKinney Steward Medical Society  was founded in her honor. Susan Steward was and always will be once of the most inspirational women in history due to her perseverance and remarkable intelligence.During a time when women, especially those of African-American descent, had little importance in society other than serving as wives and mothers, she rose above the prejudice and stereotypes and proved that it matters not where you came from, but where you end up. Karl grew up playing soccer on many competitive teams through high school and had a brief profession career in England. When St. Albans College recruited him to play soccer, he thought it would open his life to a grand adventure. That adventure changed his life. While at St. Albans, Henning met his future wife, Dawn Jacobs, how also played soccer there. She graduated a year ahead of him and went to Fort Collins, Colorado, where she played on the semiprofessional Fort Collins Force women’s soccer team. When Henning finished college, he followed Jacobs to northern Colorado. Jacobs was captain of the Force and worked for the sports marketing company that owned the team. Henning got a job at local meat packing plant, but soccer was his passion. He mad the practice squad for the Colorado Rapids Major League Soccer team, but injuries cut his professional career short. Another passion for Henning became teaching soccer to kids. He has a natural talent for coaching. Henning is charismatic, kids enjoy his easy-going demeanor and British accent and he really knows soccer and how to teach the game to youngsters. In 2006, Henning founded the Rocky Soccer Academy- attribute to the proximity of the Rocky Mountains. At first he trained small groups of young players aged 7 to 14. He grouped them by age, gender and skill and conducted training sessions for small groups of five to seven at a local park. The first kids he attracted came by word of mouth as they quickly told friends and teammates about â€Å" this British guy who teaches soccer and make it fun†. His small after-school camps quickly grew to include more than 50 kids. Word continued to get around, and by the following summer Henning conducted 10 different camps and quit his job at the meat packing plant. He also trained 11 different Rocky 3v3 soccer teams that competed in tournaments across the state and nation during the Rocky name across the front and the success of these teams made the jerseys a great promotion vehicle. In 2008 four of his teams competed in the national 3v3 soccer tournament, with one winning a national championship. To keep up with the rapid growth, Henning brought a few friends over from England to assist with training. Will Bowman moved to the United States to become Henning’s assistant director of coaching. Henning and Bowman planned to work year-round as trainers and hire s couple of local coaches to help them conduct training sessions. During the summer he added a couple of local college soccer players and a few former team mates from England. The summer seasons works nice for his British mates because that is the off season for those still playing professionally. Henning is confident he can hire and train more coaches if he needs them to handle future growth. Youth soccer is big in Colorado and cross much of the United States. It is the largest participation sport for kids. Fort Collins is a soccer hotbed and this has helped Henning’s business grow. He now trains about 600 kids per year. But he has greater ambitions. For example he would like to build a training facility, the space he currently rents is not always well-suited to soccer. However he figures he would needs to double his business to justify the cost of the soccer complex he wants to build. So he is now wondering how to grow his business. About 90 percent of his current customers live in Fort Collins, which has a population of about 110 000 people. Henning believes awareness of his program is close to 100 percent among competitive soccer players ages 11 – 14 and is probably at about 40 percent among families with soccer playing kids ages 6 to 10. most of his customers are 10 to 13 years old and enroll in two to three Rocky programs per year. He has also run a few camps in Boulder and Northglenn, which are about 50 miles from Fort Collins. These have been successful but are currently limited. There are several small cities within 25miles of Fort Collins. Loveland a city of about 60 000 borders Fort Collins on the year. Greeley and Longmont each with about 80 000 people, are about 25 miles away by interstate highway. These areas have very limited soccer training programs except for their competitive term and awareness of Rocky is not very high. Those who have heard of his academy are often not very familiar with its philosophy and programs. Henning is not sure if parents in these communities would be wiling to drive their kids to Fort Collins for training. If not, he would have to run his programs there. Henning knows that he wants to grow his business, but wonders how he can accomplish his goal. He currently sees a few options: 1. His current customer retention rate is pretty high about 80%. However when the kids reach 14 or 15 years old, other high school sports and activities make them less interested in extra soccer training. One option is to try to increase retention by developing programs targeted at kids over 14. 2. Another option is to develop a marketing strategy that would encourage his current customers to buy more. He wonders if they have other needs that he might be able to serve. 3. Henning could try to grow the business by entering new markets and acquiring new customers. His markets penetration with kids 6 to 9 years old is still quite modest. He might develop new programs to better meet this groups needs. 4. Another new market option would be to serve more kids from Loveland, Longmont and Greeley. Asda is part of the Wal-Mart group however before this Asda was on its own. Asda has been part of the Wal-Mart retailers since 1999. Asda was formed in 1965 by a group of farmers from Yorkshire, today Asda has 245 stores, with 19 depots across the U.K. Asda’s aim is to sell its products 10-15% cheaper than its main competitors. Asda sells a variety of products including fresh food, grocery, clothing, home, leisure and entertainment goods. In my report I have gained my information form the Asda website and I also interviewed the store manager of the Asda store in Longsight. In my report I will discuss the following performance indicators: Labour Turnover, Labour Productivity, Absenteeism and the Morale of workers. Asda has recently been valued at being worth à ¯Ã‚ ¿Ã‚ ½1.3 billion, which includes all its assets. Anyway I think that it will be too complicated to discuss the performance indicators on such a large scale. This is why I am going to just concentrate on the performance of the Asda store in Longsight. When I asked Sue (the manager) if labour turnover was high, she replied by saying that it is an average level. (i.e. not too high and not too low). I then said to her that this must mean that staff must feel demotivated and therefore leave. She replied by saying that it was because they employed a lot of young students and this was the reason for a lot of people leaving because they couldn’t fit the shifts in with their work. I believe that this means that although labour turnover is high, it is not an extremely bad point. When we discussed the labour productivity of the workers, she said that the staff, work very hard in every department whether it is the deliveries, clothing, music or work on the checkout. Many products were sold in each department but obviously some were sold much more than others. The labour productivity really determines how many products are sold, as items are obviously not being produced at the store they are being sold there. She also mentioned that everyday there are at least 2 people who are around the store to just help customers or provide tasters of foods. I believe that this helps to increase productivity, because customers may feel more welcome and more sales may be made. I then asked what the turnover of the store was each day. Sue replied by saying that on the weekends they generally make more money and she said that last Saturday they had a turnover of approximately à ¯Ã‚ ¿Ã‚ ½500,000. I believe that this clearly shows that labour productivity is high at the Asda store in Longsight. I then went on to talk about absenteeism. Sue said that this was generally low without any notice, and that there were hardly any people who didn’t give notice when they were going to have a day off. But she also said that absenteeism was a good point because it gives workers a change because they can swap shifts with one another. I agree and believe absenteeism with notice is not so bad. There are some improvements that could be made to the performance indicators. Firstly as we know labour turnover at the Longsight store is at an average level as many workers are students. We can solve this problem by allowing the shifts to fit in with the workers education, by offering them certain shifts. And then there is the labour productivity which is already very high, so I believe that this should just be kept at a constant level. And workers should just continue with the good work. Absenteeism is a problem when the workers don’t come into work without any notice. To solve this problem I believe that managers should phone up absent workers to see where they are. And if they persist in not coming into work then this must mean that they feel demotivated, so managers should try to find out what the problem is. I know that the incentives that Asda offers are very good, but I generally believe that managers should talk to their staff a little more and just give them general assurance that they are doing the job in the right way and to show that their work is appreciated. I believe that as Asda is worth over à ¯Ã‚ ¿Ã‚ ½1.3 billion this must mean that they are not going too wrong.
